The three higher varga listed by Parāśara in the ṣoḍaśavarga scheme are the Khavedāṁśa D40, Akṣavedāṁśa D45 and the Ṣaṣṭiāṁśa D60. When we expunge multiples of 12 to determine the harmonics,
- Khavedāṁśa D40 maps to the 4th bhāva indicating that it is related to the higher mothers, the mātṛs
- Akṣavedāṁśa D45 maps to the 9th bhāva indicating that it is related to the higher fathers, the pitṛs
- Ṣaṣṭiāṁśa D60 maps to the 12th bhāva indicating that it is the past existence of the native
